We caved. We finally started a blog. It's been a busy couple of months - for anyone that we haven't talked to recently, we bought a house in West Jordan. We're still sorting boxes and finding our way around, commuting Josh back and forth to school in Sandy. But now the kids have room to play in our back yard and jump on the trampoline. Matt's closer to work (we can see his office from the front porch - still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing). Emily's cello students are figuring out how to get to the house. And now we begin endless weekends of fix-it jobs around the house and in the yard. We disagreed with the landscaping plans of an over-ambitious gopher that was house-sitting while the house sat empty all winter, but we're excited to finally have a house.
The kids are still growing. Josh finishes Kindergarten this week and loves to read. He is definitely a descendant from the Becraft line - he has to take a book to bed with him every night. So does Melia - or sometimes 3 books. Josh's last soccer game is Tuesday. He'll miss playing - he's really gotten a lot better this year. He's even scored a goal or two in just about every game. But I don't know that we'll miss the 30 minute drive back out to Sandy twice a week.
Melia continues to love all things pink and reminds us that she's a princess. She is definitely in charge - she finds it difficult that her parents are such slow learners.
That's a little about the kids and us. We'll try to keep this somewhat up-to-date and try to stay in touch with all y'all a little better.

Sitting in a sea of books - what could be better? Melia was a big helper as we packed up the bookcases...

A fun spot in the play room
Melia loves to "take a nap on the stairs" - she's just the right size.
