Penguins!

We just got back from the Living Planet Aquarium. Tonight was a sneak-peak for the new penguins. My work was one of the sponsors, so we got to go before it opens to the public.

Melia wasn't sure what she liked most - the penguins or the jelly fish. She loved to watch the penguins "make so much dust" as they swam.

But she also liked telling the jelly fish what color they should change to next.

It was extremely crowded, but the kids had a blast. Josh loved shocking himself repeatedly with the display by the electric eels - you touch two terminals and it sends the same voltage through you an eel would.

Josh loved the sharks, piranha and manta rays. One of the manta rays kept trying to swim out of the pool. I don't think it was ever successful, though.

And of course, no trip to an aquarium is complete without finding Nemo and Dori.

By about 8:30 they were both getting a little tired (translate: cranky) and we decided to head home. But we had to stop by the last exhibit: the complementary sodas...

I guess it's time to put the Aquarium on my list of places to take the kids. It looks like a lot of fun!
