Trips, Tricks and Treats

October started with a trip to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins for carving. Josh is really into bats this year, so his was a bat. (The flash caught him a little by surprise on this pic.)

Melia wanted a happy jack-o-lantern. Not a grumpy one.

We made our annual fall trip down to Arizona the end of October. Josh is off track for three weeks, so we stayed there for 8 days! It was really nice. We were able to relax and have a great time with family. We played a lot with Aunt Lynnette and her family. We went swimming with them on Monday before the cold weather came in. Wednesday we went to their house and played and went to a neat wild life museum. Melia was very excited to pet a leopard.

Friday we went to the Desert Museum with them and Grandma and Papa and then built a big bonfire and made tinfoil dinners cooked in the fire.

Saturday while we were there was Halloween. The kids dressed up and went to a couple of houses of Grandma and Papa’s friends. One had cute stuff, and one had a spook alley with all kinds of figures and lights and spooky stuff. Josh really liked that. He is really getting into the spooky side of Halloween. Then they went to a trunk or treat thing at the high school and got some candy. It was a different Halloween, but still fun. Josh was Mister Incredible again since it still fit and Melia wore her dancing skirt, a purple crown and had a purple wand and was a dancing princess.

Then back home to cooking, cleaning, work, painting and Josh off track for another week!
