Happy Birthday, Christmas, and another Birthday

Mr. Joshuahua turned 7 last month. After detailed instructions and a month of reminders, we came through with the Maxus Dragonoid 7-in-1 Bakugan he had his heart set on. Emily has learned that the presents have to be the last thing we do for the night - after Josh opened it he was gone and very focused until he had put it together.

Christmas is always fun with little kids in the house and finally came after count-down chains & advent calendars. Josh loved his presents - lots of things to build. Especially the pvc pipe we got from Home Depot and cut into different pieces for him to build things. True to 7-year-old boys, his first project was to build a gun.

Melia's Christmas was a little less violent and more focused around pink princess stuff. All dolled up in her favorite Christmas gifts, she kept running around the house telling us she was late for her rehearsal. But her favorite present was Piggy.

Today we celebrated lots of winter birthdays with the cousins. Melia shares her birthday with her cousin Shiara. Evin's birthday was last week and Don's birthday is next week. So we had a great big night of parties. First at Marilyn's to celebrate Melia's and Shiara's. They were very excited to have it together. (We seem to be missing a couple candles - they're actually 3 and 4 this week.)

Melia loved the princess dress-up present Uncle Keith picked out for her.

Uncle Keith and Aunt Heidi found a great gift for Josh too: a spy-gear watch. It decodes secret messages and everything.

We had a great time celebrating with everyone!

Busy month! I love all the pictures. What a great idea with the PVC pipe! Jacob spotted the 7-in-1 Bakugan from 3 aisles away last time we went to the store. Yikes. It looks like Josh had a great time with it.
