Happy Birthday, Little Girl!

Melia is 3 years old! (Well, her birthday is actually tomorrow, but tomorrow's a really busy day. How would she know the difference?)

She would have been perfectly happy today if she got nothing but balloons. She ran with the balloons. She sang with the balloons. She ate dinner with the balloons clipped to her pocket. She managed to open presents with balloons clutched in her little hand.

Melia and Daddy watched a movie while Mama made dinner. Melia held a death grip on her balloons.

And the cake was pink. Melia's requirement: that it be pink. With pink candles. Went great with the pink strawberry ice cream she picked out herself. Emily did an awesome job on the cake (from scratch!)

Then we opened a couple presents and read her book from Grandma and Papa. With a continued death grip on the balloons.

It was a great birthday! And now she's asleep. With balloons clipped to her bed. And a book on her back. How does that happen?
